I just spent the past 5 days with Joshua, 4 of which I've been very sick with a cold. I'm thoroughly convinced that if a man will love you through your nose running, you sounding like a frog, and looking as sick as you feel then he must truly love you as much as he says he does. Actions do speak louder than words. Him leaving the house to go buy some vapo rub just because I wanted some says, "I love you in an altruistic (selfless) way." Cuddling me when I'm gross and not at all attractive and telling me I'm cute anyway says, "I love you for who you are." (Not to mention that also says, "I'm downright crazy about you."
) And us holding long conversations and watching movies curled up on the couch, while I'm clinging to the tissues says, "I truly love being with you, anywhere, anytime, regardless of what we do." It's reassuring to see that he means all that he says.

Love is in a Box of Tissues and Vapo Rub

Sitting at the Bar

That's us at the Fat Canary sitting at the bar after eating dessert (that's water in those glasses for anyone wondering). Our favorite bar tender took the picture for us. We were celebrating being together for 7 months :-D
We went to the Fat Canary and asked to sit at the bar and order dessert like we always do. While the cake was being prepared Joshua got up to wash his hands. A couple of seats down from me a nervous young looking guy sat down and the bar tender put down two menus. Now it made sense why he was nervous. He was waiting for his blind date. "How cute. I wonder if he'll like her," I thought to myself. A few minutes later his blind date arrived. A young man. So I found myself sitting at the bar next to a couple of gay guys on their blind date, lol! Doesn't sound very Mormon does it ;-) Joshua came back and we ate our dessert together. As we were enjoying each other my ears perked up to those guys' conversation, "My friend likes to go out on Saturday nights. She's married. Her husband delivers pizzas on Saturdays so she goes out with her friends. She doesn't drink or anything. She's Mormon, but she's cool." Yes, that's right. The gay guys brought up their Mormon friend while unbenounced to them they were sitting next to a Mormon couple.
I was this close to turning around and asking, "What's her name? I might know her." But I didn't want to disrupt the date I was on with Joshua nor disrupt their date (they were both so nervous as it was). Though I should've! It would've been funny. Even still, the situation is funny as it was. You just never know where life will take you.
