The Cutest Little Guy

I got to babysit the cutest little guy today. Of course, it was my buddy Jonah! He's now 18 months old and boy has he grown in the short time I've known him so far (about 6 months). Dorie asked me to watch him for just a few hours while her and Micah (age 4) visited Jed for a birthday lunch at work (his birthday is Sunday). I was pleased to finally do a favor in return for her (plus I just love Jonah, he's the cutest toddler ever!). She's the one that fed my cat and watered my plants while I was on vacation. Plus she brings me along to playgroup pretty often and will even feed me lunch (she's a great cook)!

I was concerned that when Jonah woke up from his nap and realized it was just me to care for him while mommy was away that he would cry. I was in the kitchen putting together lunch (Dorie made it, delicious!) when I heard him making some noise letting me know to come and get him up from his nap. I entered the room and said, "Hi, Jonah. Are you awake?" I expected the crying to begin, but you know what he did? He giggled! That's right, he giggled! Such a cute little guy! So I got him out of his crib and we went to play and eat lunch. He was happy as could be.

My husband randomly showed up. He knew I was babysitting and was in the area running errands before work so he stopped by. Jonah was a little shy but overall fine with Joshua being there. But before I knew it Dorie was back home, just 15 minutes after Joshua got there. Though she was glad to hear that Jonah was fine with me. Micah didn't like waiting at the restaurant so she's thinking maybe next time she'll leave both with me, haha ;-)
